Formed in 2015 under the leadership of Michael Blizman, Norfolk Controls is a privately held automation firm specializing in industrial controls and electrical engineering integration services.
Michael's path towards engineering and entrepreneurship began at a young age while growing up on his family's tobacco farm in Norfolk County. The rigors of life on the farm instilled a work ethic in Mike that is second to none and continues to be a pillar on which Norfolk Controls is built. Years of focused engineering experience allowed Mike to obtain his Professional Engineering license while the entrepreneurial spirit taught on the farm provided a stable launching pad for Norfolk Controls.
Michael's excess of eleven years of controls and electrical engineering experience have accumulated in a variety of industrial settings. Years spent integrating custom controls solutions in many of the major U.S. airports afforded Mike with a solid understanding of controls integration on a large and professional scale. Utilizing the tools learned in the airport industry, Mike pursued an opportunity in the municipal drinking water sector designing control algorithms for UV disinfection and chemical dosing systems throughout the world including large scale facilities in Europe.
Through hardened experience on the domestic and international engineering stage, Michael has the expertise to grow Norfolk Controls into your most trusted automation supplier.
